We process personal information to enable us to provide IT support and advice service, managing our own staff, maintaining our accounts and records and promoting our services.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you request us to call to your property, this includes name, address and phone number. This information is stored securely in a database for internal use only and we build up a list of work completed including dates the work was carried out.
Website usage information may be collected using cookies.
How will we use the information about you?
This information is only collected in order for us to be able to complete the requested work, and only used within Pc Homecall Ltd, not shared at all.
If you have consented, one ‘health-check’ reminder letter is sent out in the post 12 months later.
We have never sold or shared customer’s data with other companies, and never will.
The types of information we do not collect
Our customers bank details are not collected. No passwords or security information is held, neither is date of birth or gender. If our credit card machine is used, the details are sent directly to the credit card merchant (Izettle), and never in the possession of Pc Homecall.
Pc Homecall Ltd retains customer’s names and addresses for the sole purpose of sending reminder letters when their Antivirus software is about to expire. This is stored securely, in a password protected database. This information is not shared at all and used only within Pc Homecall for writing directly to the customer once per year.
No analysis is performed on the data Pc Homecall Ltd stores, such as big data or ‘large scale analytics’.
Marketing
Pc Homecall Ltd will not share your information for marketing purposes with any company or individual.
Access to your information and correction
We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you, we will then remove your details from our system on request. Please email or call us to request to be removed from our database, or to make any alterations to the details we hold. You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you, under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us. We may make a small charge for this service.
